As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of clinical projects, ensuring the long-term outlook of our clinical portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Clinical Strategies
You will build and implement clinical development strategies at the clinical level, working closely with counterparts in pRED functions and Late Stage product development and commercialization.
Ensure Clinical Vision and StrategyYou will ensure that the overall clinical vision and strategy for specific Metabolism projects is implemented, considering speed, technical, regulatory, business, and operational needs.
Develop and Communicate Clinical OptionsYou will develop and communicate clinical strategic options that consider speed, technical, regulatory, business, and operational needs.
Act as Central Medical DirectorYou will act as a central Medical Director for Metabolism clinical projects (Phase 0 through end-of-Phase 2) and cross-functional stakeholders within the matrixed early development community.
Provide Clinical Development StrategiesYou will provide clinical development strategies for Metabolism Discovery teams (Pre-Phase 0) with respect to strategic fit and clinical developability of individual projects.
Contribute to Project TeamsYou will contribute on Project Teams and on Clinical Expert Teams in central roles such as Medical Director or Project Team Leader.
Support Business DevelopmentYou will support business development strategy and opportunities with clinical assessments and clinical development plans.
Represent the TeamYou will represent the Metabolism Early Development team both internally and externally at conferences and international meetings.
Requirements- MD or MD/PhD
You must have a Medical Doctor or Medical Doctor/Ph.D. degree with deep expertise in the appropriate disease area (metabolism, diabetes, endocrinology, obesity).
Significant ExperienceYou must have significant experience in pharmaceutical or drug development, with a demonstrated track record of translational clinical development (e.g., early clinical trial management, IND filing, experience in proof-of-mechanism or proof-of-concept determination of investigational agents).
Collaborative LeadershipYou must be a collaborative leader who inspires diverse individuals to work together, persuades others to pursue innovative ideas, and can work with a large number of partners across the organization.
Strategic LeadershipYou must be able to articulate strategic clinical frameworks to inform operational delivery of the project(s) and understand how to focus on the delivery of goals.
Effective CommunicationYou must be able to communicate effectively, clearly articulating complex concepts at all levels of the organization, encouraging direct and open discussions, and seeking common ground in an effort to resolve conflicts.
