About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Research Scientist to lead our research efforts in amyloid biochemistry and neurodegeneration. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing research projects to advance our understanding of neurodegenerative diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of researchers in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments to study amyloid biochemistry and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Develop and implement research strategies to identify potential biomarkers and therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into drug development programs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research developments in amyloid biochemistry and neurodegenerative diseases, and apply this knowledge to inform research strategies.
- Communicate research findings and progress to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements
- PhD or MD/PhD in neuroscience, biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, molecular or cellular biology.
- At least 5 years of experience in leading laboratory or drug discovery projects in Biotech/Pharma R&D or academia.
- Proven track record of impactful publications in relevant fields, with expertise in biochemical and cellular mechanisms related to protein metabolism and in-depth hands-on disease expertise in Alzheimer's disease.
- Strong scientific expertise and technical know-how in biochemistry, chromatography, immunoassays, proteomics, spatial-omics, or MALDI approaches.
- Experience with cell-based assays and screening, and insights or hands-on expertise with iPSC culture or co-culture systems related to brain cells.
