Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Insurance Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our Underwriting and Operations teams in policy administration, invoicing, broker statements, credit control, and other administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter risk and policy data into our Operations systems within defined service levels.
  • Proactively manage Salesforce prospects and ensure Underwriting submits booking information in a timely manner.
  • Ensure high data quality in Operations systems through checks and reviews.
  • Process taxes correctly and ensure accurate premium invoices are established within set timeframes.
  • Establish brokerage and Co-Insurance statements within set timeframes and initiate payout processes.
  • Work on aged debt on a weekly basis and ensure overdue debt is reported to Underwriters.
  • Ensure stage and comments for the Finance team are up to date in Eclipse.
  • Handle bordereaux and ensure claims information is shared with the Claims team.
  • Handle premium payments and ensure policy assignment is done in a timely manner.
  • Advise the reinsurance department to ensure Facultative R/I can be paid out once premium is received.

Requirements

  • Technical accounting or similar experience.
  • Preferably with an insurance background.
  • Ideal candidate has worked in the technical accounting department of a corporate insurance unit/company.

  • Proactive and team worker.
  • Capable of multitasking and flexible when delegating tasks.
  • Curious and able to learn independently.
  • Financial acumen.
