Strategic R&D Manager

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the R&D Leadership Team at ADM as the R&D Strategic Manager. This role reports directly to the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and works cross-functionally with R&D Vice Presidents from diverse segments, including Human Nutrition, Animal and Pet Nutrition, Health & Wellness, Precision Fermentation, Oil Seeds, Carbohydrate Solutions, Research Process and Development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the CSO with strategic R&D initiatives, processes, and deliverables.
  • Work cross-functionally within the R&D Leadership team, staying connected to key developments in R&D, services, and capabilities, as well as business growth and market demands.
  • Develop strategic materials for the global R&D organization.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Manage and prioritize concurrent projects within a dynamic environment.
  • Drive independent and collaborative projects.
  • Plan, agendas, KPI, and portfolio reporting.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams to drive project success and operational efficiency.

Your Ideal Profile:

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to targeted audiences.
  • Experience in corporate R&D, interacting with diverse departments would be advantageous.
  • ADM is an international company with R&D facilities across multiple locations, the candidate should be amenable to limited travel.
