Job Title: Livestock and Aquaculture Microbiome R&D Manager

Join ADM's Global Health and Wellness R&D team as a Livestock and Aquaculture Microbiome R&D Manager. This role will be based in Switzerland and will play a key part in driving innovation and developing cutting-edge products for the Livestock and Aquaculture Microbiome markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Livestock and Aquaculture Microbiome project pipeline for global segments
  • Coordinate multiple project teams to deliver the product roadmap to the market
  • Leverage expertise and share resources within other technical areas to define product requirements for new applications, coordinate Livestock and Aquaculture zootechnical studies, and transfer data to business
  • Be responsible for the on-time and on-budget delivery of all research projects related to Livestock and Aquaculture Microbiome, working with colleagues in R&D, regulatory, manufacturing, marketing, and commercial to deliver innovative and science-based new wellness ingredients for farmers
  • Work closely with R&D team and related functions of the Animal Nutrition division
  • Support products throughout their life cycle via a Stage-Gate Process including ideation, development, market launch, and on-market retention
  • Help the business develop deep expertise in Livestock and Aquaculture Microbiome and represent the business in customer and conference interactions
  • Proactively identify, manage, and plan for product development risks and mitigations
  • Support the development of our external R&D ecosystem building high-level research projects with reliable partners (scientists and customers)
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. degree in Animal Sciences, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Veterinary Research, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Feed industry R&D, ideally with direct experience in Microbiome solutions including Biotics (ex. Pro & Pre-Biotics)
  • 3+ years of experience in managing research and product development project pipeline
  • Data-driven approach to project ideation, planning, prioritization, and execution
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for biotics' development
  • Proven innovator, with a track record of developing new ideas through collaboration and translating strategic direction into tactical execution in a team-driven environment
  • Executive-level communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a global context
  • Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, Domestic and International
