CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is seeking a highly skilled High-Energy Mechanical Engineering Expert to join our team. As a leading research institution in particle physics, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and understanding.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional mechanical engineer with expertise in high-energy systems to work on cutting-edge projects. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and optimize complex mechanical systems for our experiments. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to ensure that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for high-energy applications;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical components into larger systems;
  • Perform thermal and structural calculations using advanced software tools;
  • Write technical specifications and reports to communicate project progress and results;
  • Set up tenders and manage industrial contracts to procure necessary materials and services;
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
  • Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA V5) and experience with ANSYS simulation tools;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to work in French an asset;
