Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the Beams Department. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of innovative mechanical systems for high-energy particle collisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and integrating complex mechanical prototypes and demonstrators using advanced CAD software (CATIA V5)
  • Performing structural and thermal calculations using industry-leading tools (ANSYS)
  • Developing technical specifications and documentation for projects
  • Collaborating with project leaders and engineers to ensure successful project execution
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 2-6 years of post-graduation professional experience (or 1-3 years with a PhD)
  • Proficiency in CAD design software (CATIA V5) and industry-standard calculation tools (ANSYS)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices
