Senior Automation Test Engineer for Aviation Domain

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the Air Traffic Management domain or a safety-critical domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in writing system and software specifications, as well as experience in system and software testing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working autonomously in an Agile team and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives;
- Collaborating with systems end-users and other teams to understand business needs and functional specifications;
- Reading and understanding Functional System Requirements (FSRE) provided by Business Analysts;
- Writing, reviewing, and updating Equipment Requirements (ERE) in collaboration with Product Owners using Polarion and performing traceability to FSRE;
- Creating and maintaining test cases to provide full coverage of ERE using Polarion;
- Configuring and setting up test platforms;
- Writing automatic test scripts for test automation environments (Squish, Python);
- Executing manual and automatic tests in integrated validation environments as part of sprint work during the Build phase or as part of the SAT during acceptance phase and reporting test results;
- Analyzing and describing issues/bugs in the issues Database, and participating in their classification;
- Clarifying identified defects or related ERE.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- At least 5 years of experience in the Air Traffic Management domain or a safety-critical domain;
- Proven experience in writing system and software specifications and experience in system and software testing;
- A high analytical capacity and the ability to understand end-user needs and translate them into requirements for Development Teams;
- Adaptability, autonomy, rigor, and a strong appreciation for teamwork;
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively;
- A high resistance to stress and flexibility;
- Proven experience with test automation tools using Python (use of Squish, Jenkins experiences are major advantages for this position);
- An experience with Polarion is a major advantage for this position;
- An experience in JAVA development is a plus;
- An experience in JAVA using JUNIT for test automation is a plus;
- Fluent written and spoken English is required, French and German is a plus;
- Knowledge with standards such as ED153/ED109A or ED12B/C are major advantages for this position;
- Pro-active in a self-organized team.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of CHF 90,000 - CHF 110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
