About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our legal department, you will report directly to the Regional General Counsel and be responsible for managing European legal matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Primary Legal Contact: Act as the primary legal contact for various business functions (Sales, Procurement, Sustainability) and operational plants by providing precise, sound, and practical legal and contractual advice.
  • Agreement Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a range of agreements (e.g., Supply and Services Agreements, T&Cs, NDAs, Cooperation Agreements) and other legal documents (e.g., policies, legal directives).
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance by monitoring legal and regulatory developments in Europe, determining, and implementing appropriate legal actions to mitigate compliance risks and regulations.
  • Project Leadership: Lead negotiations as well as legal and cross-functional projects.
  • Training and Development: Conduct internal training on legal, regulatory, and contractual aspects.
  • Cross-Border Expertise: Regularly engage in cross-border and international matters.
  • External Counsel Management: Manage external counsel and litigation processes.
Requirements
  • A law degree (MLaw or equivalent) and admission to the bar in Switzerland or Germany (or a comparable jurisdiction).
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification work experience, preferably within a law firm and/or as in-house counsel.
  • Expertise in contract law and commercial law, including areas such as sales, procurement, competition law, and corporate law.
  • Expertise or strong interest in compliance matters (regulatory and business compliance) and sustainability-related issues.
  • Excellent proficiency in English and German; French is an advantage.
  • High motivation with the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
