Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Strategy: Develop and implement the company's legal strategy in alignment with its business goals, ensuring a strong foundation for our continued growth and success.
  • General Contract Law: Draft and update all legal company documents, including client contracts, rental agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and general terms and conditions, to ensure compliance and protect our interests.
  • Contract Negotiation: Oversee and negotiate various contracts, including SaaS, software, and subscription licenses, maintenance agreements, partnerships, vendor agreements, and customer contracts, to secure favorable terms and protect our business.
  • Compliance: Ensure the company's compliance with local and international laws and regulations, including intellectual property, data privacy, and cybersecurity laws, to minimize risk and maintain a strong reputation.
  • Litigation Management: Manage and oversee any legal disputes, litigation, or legal proceedings involving the company, to protect our interests and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Data Privacy: Oversee data protection and privacy compliance, especially where the software handles personal or sensitive data, to protect our customers' and employees' rights.
  • Employment and Social Security Law: Provide guidance on employment law matters, including labor relations, employee contracts, and HR policies, to ensure a positive and compliant work environment.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions: Assist in due diligence and legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, to ensure a smooth and successful integration.
  • Ethics and Compliance: Promote a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the organization, to maintain a strong reputation and ensure long-term success.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Law, Swiss Bar Exam, or LL.M, with active membership in the Swiss Bar Association.
  • Extensive legal and contract negotiation experience, with a focus on technology and software.
  • Strong knowledge of software licensing, intellectual property, and data privacy laws.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to convey legal matters in terms understandable to non-legal colleagues.
  • Leadership and management experience, as this role may grow to oversee an in-house legal team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and executives to achieve company goals.
