We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health Promotion Specialist - Community Engagement to join our team in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Job Description

The Health Promotion Specialist - Community Engagement will be responsible for designing and implementing community-based health promotion activities to increase awareness and knowledge of the target population on various health topics, including maternal health, malnutrition, malaria, HIV/AIDS, Ebola, and other diseases.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing annual project and budget plans to achieve health promotion objectives;
  • Analyzing local behavior and adapting health activities to the target group;
  • Promoting MSF services according to MSF principles, protocols, and standards;
  • Liaising with other relevant actors to enhance campaigns;
  • Managing, training, and supervising the HP team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A versatile paramedical or psychosocial profile;
  • At least two years' professional experience working with communities and/or local associations on awareness raising, prevention, mobilization, and/or community strengthening;
  • Familiarity with a community-based approach;
  • Flexibility to work on various topics such as HIV/tuberculosis, nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, chronic diseases, epidemics, sexual and gender-based violence, etc.
