The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to join its team.



Job Description



As a key member of the WHO's Health and Climate Team, the Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies to improve the sustainability of health product supply chains.



The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in sustainable supply chain management, with a strong focus on health products. They will also possess excellent analytical skills, proven ability to design and produce complex supply chain/market analyses, and demonstrated working knowledge of product lifecycle and value chain analyses.



Required Skills and Qualifications



To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to demonstrate:




  • Extensive expertise in sustainable supply chain management of health products in international settings, encompassing medicines, diagnostics, and other technologies, with a strong knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, frameworks, and business environments.
  • Proven professional experience with or knowledge of global environmental and climate issues, ideally including involvement in mitigation, resilience, or adaptation projects aimed at enhancing the sustainability of products/technologies with complex value chains.
  • Solid understanding of health product markets, ideally in low and middle-income countries.
  • Familiarity with global health and climate-related health challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others for positive results; demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver high-impact results; ability to work in a dynamic environment.


Salary



The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
