CAD Designer

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join its team in the MSC-SMT section. As a 3D Designer, you will be part of a team responsible for advancing high-field magnet technologies for future accelerators.
The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and validating new concepts, procedures, and tools to produce small-scale models of CERN's next-generation superconducting magnets. This will involve tasks such as coil winding, high-temperature heat treatment, vacuum impregnation, electrical connections, and instrumentation.
Requirements- Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Technical drawing (ISO standard) and CAD Software (CATIA) proficiency
- Understanding of mathematical and geometric concepts
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintain high-quality standards
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Fluent in English, with the ability to work in French an advantage
- Nationality: .
- Maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Mechanical engineering (or a related field)
- Highest educational qualification: general secondary education diploma
- No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract
- Applicants with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree are not eligible
