About the Role

CERN is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join its team of experts in magnet technology. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new concepts, procedures, and tools for producing small-scale models of CERN's next-generation superconducting magnets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop magnet components and specialized tooling using CATIA or similar 3D design software.
  • Collaborate with the team to advance high-field magnet technologies for future accelerators.
  • Develop innovative materials, processes, and tools to overcome manufacturing challenges.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in technical drawing (ISO standard) and CAD software (CATIA).
  • Understanding of mathematical and geometric principles.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
