About the Role
CERN is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join its team of experts in magnet technology. As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing new concepts, procedures, and tools for producing small-scale models of CERN's next-generation superconducting magnets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop magnet components and specialized tooling using CATIA or similar 3D design software.
- Collaborate with the team to advance high-field magnet technologies for future accelerators.
- Develop innovative materials, processes, and tools to overcome manufacturing challenges.
Requirements
- Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in technical drawing (ISO standard) and CAD software (CATIA).
- Understanding of mathematical and geometric principles.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration.
