Research Associate AAV Early Supply Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Associate to join our team in the Nucleic Acid-based Medicine (NABM)-Genomic Medicine matrix organization. The successful candidate will be a member of the Applied Viral and Non-Viral Technologies (AVANT) team, responsible for producing new rAAV to supply internal research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support rAAV production platform at shake-flask scale, including cell maintenance and expansion, transient transfection, and development to improve upstream processes.
- Develop, optimize, and qualify analytical methods to assess rAAV product characterization for safety, efficacy, purity, quality, and strength.
- Write protocols and SOPs, perform preliminary analyses, and prepare internal reports to support scientific conclusions.
- Independently conduct analysis for in-process and final product samples to determine viral vector quality and production quality according to established SOPs.
- Participate in trouble shooting and solving issues involved in process optimization as well as identifying critical process parameters to monitor or control to ensure the product of desired quality.
- Development of rAAV CQAs for characterization to guide product and process development.
- Participate in laboratory management: lab organization, ordering, equipment maintenance and qualification, etc.
- Scientific studies (Master (FH), alternatively Master (Univ.) or Engineer / Bachelor) with professional experience or scientific vocational training with further training as a technician and at least one year of specific work experience.
- IT-Skills (MS Office, lab software applications), good English skills.
