About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Research Associate to join our team at the interface of academic and translational research. The successful candidate will play a key role in characterizing iPSC-derived cell types of the central nervous system with Alzheimer's disease-related mutations.
Key Responsibilities
- Characterize iPSC- and fibroblast-based models of Alzheimer's disease
- Contribute to the generation of new iPSC models with CRISPR engineering
- Maintain stem cell and primary cell cultures
- Support the development of in vitro assays
- Rigorously document protocols and experimental results
- Present data at internal meetings
Requirements
- MSc with several years of experience in stem cell research or recent PhD graduates
- Hands-on expertise on stem-cell derived models of human brain cell types, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunohistochemistry and basic microscopy
- Experience working with CRISPR engineering of mammalian cell lines in a BSL2 environment
- Ability to navigate in a matrix environment to effectively influence, advise, or consult experts to jointly move projects forward
- Strong work ethic, communication skills and team-player oriented personality
- Fluency in English
