About the Role:

Lonza is a global leader in life sciences, operating across three continents. As a Commercial Development Director, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and profitability growth targets for our Drug Product Services business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and commercialize targeted business approaches and pricing strategies to facilitate business unit expansion.
  • Optimize project portfolio, sold margin, and apply innovative business models and approaches to customers.
  • Contribute to business acquisition process by assisting Sales and Business Development teams with technical and operational queries.
  • Establish contractual terms for new contracts and contract extensions, and perform contract negotiations.
  • Develop creative business cases and go-to-market strategies to maximize growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the business unit strategy and manage commercial strategic plans to deliver planned business growth goals.

Requirements:

  • MSc / MBA / PhD in Life Sciences or Business with advanced years of experience within the CDMO industry in a commercial role.
  • Expert knowledge in commercial manufacturing of injectable Drug Product is preferred.
  • Business fluent in English; German is a plus.
  • Innately collaborative, excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Driving Results: willingness to be held accountable, proven history of meeting deliverables, ability to positively influence and motivate others.
