About the Role

The Global Product Marketing Director - Digital Solutions is a key leadership position at Institut Straumann AG, responsible for driving the commercialization of digital solutions across the entire CCS portfolio. This strategic role will play a crucial part in shaping the company's digital business objectives and will lead a team of product marketing managers to develop go-to-market strategies, business models, and marketing plans for different customer segments.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and Communicate a Clear Product Marketing Strategy
    • Align with Straumann Group's long-term business objectives
    • Drive collaboration with cross-functional teams to bring voice of customer and voice of market into product, solution, and workflow vision and roadmaps
  • Build and Lead a High-Performance Team
    • Recruit, coach, and develop product marketing managers to drive commercialization of digital solutions
    • Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for different market segments, including General Practitioners, Specialists, Dental Service Organizations, and Universities
  • Create and Implement New Business Models
    • Lower barriers to entry and drive market penetration, long-term profitability, and customer connection to the Straumann platform
  • Lead the Development of Value Propositions and Sales-Marketing Plans
    • Develop value propositions, sales, and marketing plans, campaigns, and selling tools
  • Lead and Manage Voice of Customer and Voice of Market Activities
    • Deeply understand customer needs, pain points, and workflows through direct engagement and data-driven insights
    • Advocate for the customer at every stage of the product lifecycle, from conception through to market launch and beyond
  • Utilize Data and Analytics to Inform Product Marketing Strategies
    • Inform product marketing strategies, identify market opportunities, and measure performance
  • Drive Collaboration and Adoption of Value Management Principles
    • Drive the adoption of value management principles across the digital product portfolio
    • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of product initiatives on customer outcomes and business performance
  • Develop and Maintain Domain Expertise
    • Develop and maintain domain expertise on new technologies and intelligence on market development and competitive landscape
  • Lead and Be Accountable for Commercial Readiness
    • Lead and be accountable for the commercial readiness of all new product/feature launches for the entire CCS portfolio
  • Drive Close Collaboration with Global Subsidiaries
    • Drive close collaboration with colleagues in various global subsidiaries to develop country-specific commercialization strategies and share best practices

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor or Master's degree in life sciences, engineering, or business
    • Minimum 10 years total professional work experience
    • Minimum 5 years' experience and proven success in product management
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in the medical device or dental industry
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in people leadership and a proven track record of people development
