Senior Sales Director, Pharmaceutical Products

Job Summary:
Lonza is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sales Director to join our team in the EMEA region. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will be responsible for driving the acquisition of new customers and expanding existing relationships for our Drug Product Services (DPS) Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets and grow market share in the EMEA region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including technical personnel and executive-level stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Global Sales, Commercial Development, and Marketing teams to promote current drug product capabilities and emerging technologies.
- Identify market trends, assess market potential, and develop strategies to grow market share using data from customer base and market research.
- Actively lead or support marketing and technical expert outreach efforts to penetrate target accounts and position Lonza as a market leader in biologics drug product services.
- Establish and execute regional marketing plans and business activities, including drug product business unit roadshows and events to drive business growth.
- Maintain up-to-date data in Lonza systems, including Salesforce, CPQ, Negotiation Planner, Customer Target Platform, and Omni.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a Life Science discipline, such as Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences; MBA or Advanced scientific degree preferred.
- Highly experienced within the CDMO industry, specifically in drug product development and commercialization.
- Strong technical understanding of drug product development and manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record in delivering year-on-year business targets for drug product deals.
- Strong CRM/SFDC expertise and negotiation experience.
- Ability to build relationships based on trust and long-term commitment.
- Strong gravitas, particularly in specific technology areas of focus.
