As a Mechanical Engineer in our CMS Engineering and Integration office, you will play a key role in advancing cutting-edge experimental facilities.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with expertise in integrating complex systems and developing mechanical assemblies using 3D CAD tools. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing installations associated with new infrastructure and equipment, engaging in design and procurement activities, and coordinating supervision of activities within experimental areas.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • a proven track record of integrating complex systems and experience in developing mechanical assemblies using 3D CAD tools (CATIA preferred)
  • practical, on-site installation experience, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills for immediate issue resolution
  • basic experience in drafting technical specifications, planning, coordinating, and overseeing the fabrication, qualification, and installation of mechanical systems or detector infrastructure
  • excellent teamwork skills and strong communication abilities
  • fluency in English, with the ability to work in French as an advantage
