Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Payroll Assistant to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support
    • Collaborate with account managers to handle administrative tasks for clients with approximately 150 to 200 employees, covering all stages from onboarding to offboarding across multiple cantons in both German and French-speaking regions.
    • Manage and update employee records, prepare contracts and employment certificates, draft termination letters for dismissals and resignations, process work permit applications, and issue Swiss and international unemployment certificates, as well as interim earnings statements.
    • Serve as the point of contact for social partners and manage tax-at-source matters with cantonal authorities, handle declarations and follow-up on sickness, accident cases, family allowances, and salary certificates, and oversee timesheet submissions and monitor employee time tracking.
  • Payroll Operations
    • Oversee all aspects of payroll operations for approximately 10 clients, totaling around 30 employees, including performing payroll calculations, managing deductions, and processing payments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payroll administration, maintain precise employee records, and support the complete employee lifecycle, from hiring to departure.
  • Language and Experience
    • Fluent English is mandatory, and German language skills are a strong asset.
    • 2 years of experience in HR administrative tasks in a similar position is mandatory.
    • Experience with Swiss payroll software, such as Abacus or Wineur Salaries, is a plus.
    • Multi-cantons payroll experience and payroll experience are strong assets.
    • Good Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook experience is required.
    • Management of priorities, multitasking, analytical, and meticulous skills are essential.
    • Process, quality, solutions, and client service orientation are key.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills are required.
    • A Swiss or valid permit is necessary.
