Strategic Thought Leadership Role at Zurich Insurance Group

We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our multinational insurance group as Head of Thought Leadership & Editorial. As a key member of the Group Communications and Public Affairs team, you will be responsible for shaping and driving strategic thought leadership initiatives.

About the Role:

This is a full-time opportunity based in Zurich, Switzerland, with flexible working arrangements considered. You will have the chance to work on a comprehensive thought leadership strategy that supports our corporate communications priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft and implement a robust thought leadership strategy that aligns with our corporate communications goals and enhances our brand's reputation.
  • Identify content gaps and opportunities, ensuring we consistently highlight our expertise and leadership in areas crucial to our clients.
  • Select and manage external partners, including think tanks, universities, and other third-party platforms, to deliver impactful research, platforms, and events.
  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with key business stakeholders on content development, and work closely with the broader communications and public affairs team on targeted activation initiatives.
  • Work with media and social media teams on high-impact activation, ensuring alignment with our corporate communications strategy.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven background in corporate communications and thought leadership.
  • Experience working with or in public policy, politics, or related fields.
  • Industry knowledge in insurance (Life and GI) or wider financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, think creatively, and deliver impactful thought leadership initiatives.
  • Management experience with a proven ability to build coalitions and work in partnership across functions.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with a proven ability to build partnerships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of €120,000 - €180,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits package, which includes hybrid working arrangements, employee recognition programs, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
