The Position


We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager for Genomic Medicines to join our NABM team in Therapeutic Modalities (TMo). This role will involve working with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and leaders across pRED to jointly manage and shape our current and future NABM portfolio of internal and external drug discovery projects in the genomic medicine and gene therapy field.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • You will play a key role in building, shaping, and strategically coordinating the NABM portfolio together with the NABM team, stakeholders in TMo, and all respective pRED functions.
  • You will lead a continuous and active dialogue with technical project leaders, project teams, technical functions, and Disease Therapeutic Areas to align project needs and plans with capabilities and resource priorities within TMo.
  • You will contribute to portfolio governance meetings to align on project strategies and their implementation within the organization.
  • You will work on operational and strategic initiatives as a member of the Program Managers' community in TMo.
  • You will cultivate trustful relationships and effective collaborations within the TMo and pRED organization and with other internal and external partners.

About You


We are looking for a strong scientific background in genomic medicine or gene therapy drug discovery and a passion for pushing the boundaries of science to discover and develop the genomic medicines of the future. You should thrive in a dynamic, inclusive environment that gives you full accountability and independence for your own contributions and development. You should bring professional drug discovery experience, which optimally encompasses both portfolio or program management and preclinical project science preferably in one of pRED's therapeutic areas. This allows you to engage with drug discovery project teams, with an emphasis on program and portfolio coordination.


Requirements



  • You have an advanced degree in life sciences.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in the drug discovery industry.
  • You have a scientific background in genomic medicine or gene therapy, preferentially in Adeno-associated virus (AAV) in vivo gene therapy.
  • You bring excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record in relationship-building, team engagement, and working in a matrix environment across geographical sites.
  • You are willing to travel.
  • Your strong written and verbal communication skills allow you to transform complex topics into clear and concise messages and to run efficient meetings.
