Product Performance Evaluation Senior Manager
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Manager of Product Performance and Evaluation to join our Consumer & Sensory Science team at Coty. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development of winning products by harnessing consumer product understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust methodologies for product testing, establish the consumer-based technical success criteria.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment on product performance goals and standards.
- Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance product performance.
- Define and execute the consumer testing strategy to develop and confirm the irresistibility of our products and confirm final readiness.
- Develop a reliable external network of suppliers able to meet our requirements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in product testing methodologies, develop external collaborations to investigate new methods.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
About the Role:
As our Product Performance Evaluation Senior Manager, you will work closely with our R&D, CMI, and Marketing teams to develop robust testing plans to validate products that will ultimately delight consumers. You will be part of a dynamic team of 10 people from diverse backgrounds and generations, spread across two continents.
Requirements:
- Scientific (Biology, Cosmetic science or related) or Psychology background – master's degree or higher.
- 8-10 years of experience using consumer product understanding to drive the development of winning products, preferably within the beauty industry.
- Qualitative and Quantitative Research experience is a must.
- Proven track record of successful project management and team leadership.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to product performance.
- Possession of a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
