In this role, you will be responsible for leading the evaluation of our programs and initiatives, providing strategic guidance and oversight to ensure that our efforts are effective and efficient.

About the Role

The Strategic Evaluation Leader will work closely with senior management and other stakeholders to develop and implement evaluation plans, identify areas for improvement, and make recommendations for change. You will also be responsible for managing budgets, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with professional standards and codes of ethics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead evaluations of WHO programs and initiatives, using your expertise in evaluation theory and practice to guide the process;
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure that evaluations are conducted in an effective and efficient manner;
  • Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for change;
  • Manage budgets and supervise staff, ensuring compliance with professional standards and codes of ethics;
  • Represent WHO at meetings and events, promoting our evaluation work and building partnerships with other organizations;
Requirements
  • Masters degree in social sciences, public health or related field, and at least 15 years of experience in evaluation, including five years at the senior management level;
  • Substantial experience in advising senior officials and managing complex projects;
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and supervise staff of various backgrounds;
  • Excellent knowledge of English, with intermediate knowledge of French desirable;
