About the Role

Hosco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our culinary department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our galley, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the galley team, ensuring seamless execution of food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food presentation standards that meet our high-quality expectations.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure food safety and quality standards are met.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food and supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing costs.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and execute special events, theme nights, and menu promotions.
  • Lead and motivate the galley team, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure excellent performance and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies.
  • Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation design.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the galley, kitchen equipment, and storage areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement procedures for food waste reduction, recycling, and composting.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as hospitality and housekeeping, to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of culinary experience, including 3-4 years as a Chef de Cuisine or similar position.
  • Advanced culinary skills, with a focus on menu planning, food presentation, and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on attention to detail and quality control.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
