Galley Operations Manager

Viking is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Galley Operations Manager to join our culinary team. As a key member of our galley operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all events, food preparation, presentation, and delivery on board our vessels.
Key Responsibilities- Galley Operations Management: Supervise and manage the entire galley, ensuring the quality standards and procedures are in line with Company Procedures and STAR Service Standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and support a multi-cultural team, maximizing crew satisfaction, productivity, and retention.
- Food Safety and Quality: Ensure safe, quality food production, and maintain high standards of food safety and quality control.
- Guest Satisfaction: Create a friendly, guest-oriented service culture to ensure Guest satisfaction and repeat business.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including ordering and requisitioning of food and supplies.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, other department heads, and crew members to ensure seamless operations.
- Culinary Experience: A minimum of ten years' culinary experience, including three to four years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or similar position, within a premium brand hospitality environment.
- Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading multi-cultural teams and managing complex situations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests, crew members, and other department heads.
- Physical Demands: Ability to physically handle 50+ lbs. (30KGs) on a daily basis, and work a minimum of eleven hours a day, seven days a week.
