About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Event Safeguarding Manager to join our team at FIFA. As a key member of our Safeguarding and Child Protection team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults at our events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective safeguarding strategies and protocols for our events, ensuring compliance with FIFA's safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with our Tournaments and Event team, Local Organising Committees, and other stakeholders to ensure that safeguarding arrangements are in place and communicated effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on safeguarding and child protection matters to our staff, member associations, and confederations.
  • Manage and coordinate safeguarding cases at our events, ensuring that all incidents are reported and investigated promptly and effectively.
  • Liaise with our Ethics and Disciplinary team as needed, to manage reported incidents and ensure that all necessary actions are taken.
  • Develop and deliver safeguarding training and awareness programs for our staff and stakeholders, ensuring that they understand their roles and responsibilities in safeguarding and child protection.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection, with a strong background in social work, law, or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies and protocols.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Fluent in English, with proficiency in other FIFA languages an asset.
