Job Summary

CSL Behring is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Category Management Director to lead our global category management teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing category management strategies across the entire CSL group, ensuring best possible value for CSL while managing risk and maintaining compliance in procurement practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, with a minimum of 12 years of experience in the field. They will also have a proven track record of leading global teams and managing complex projects. The Global Category Management Director will be responsible for developing and implementing global category strategies, leading complex negotiations with major suppliers, and managing key internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and influencing skills. They will be able to build and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders and drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement global category strategies for both the categories in scope in alignment with corporate strategy and other relevant business strategies within CSL.
  • Lead and manage key projects that involve redesign of global strategy, business models and overall ways of working.
  • Establish and maintain effective category management and bid management processes.
  • Drive value from the global category(s) by defining and implementing effective category management strategies.
  • Lead complex and business negotiations with major key suppliers.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Procurement / Engineering/ I&T Supply Chain Management preferred or related field.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in strategic sourcing or relevant experience in sourcing industrial automation, building automation, I&T SW and HW, SW and HW commissioning and validation (CSV).
  • Minimum 2 years senior leadership experience, preferably of a global team.
  • Minimum 5 years in global team management.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills and ability to deal with ambiguity and building bridges.
