Job Overview

As an IT Application Manager at AMAN, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of critical software applications within our organization. You will work in coordination with key stakeholders, ensuring that our applications align with business objectives, meet user requirements, and adhere to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Global Head of IT to develop and implement a comprehensive systems/applications roadmap.
  • Analyze and interpret business operational requirements to inform systems design and development.
  • Configure and maintain existing Oracle Opera environments, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
  • Implement a balanced approach to meet short business lead times, while maintaining agility and responsiveness.
  • Apply technical knowledge and systems experience to address real-world business requirements and drive innovation.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of stability, resilience, and optimization of systems/applications.
  • Streamline policies and procedures related to key IT systems and applications, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.
  • Manage downtime and service interruptions, guiding swift recovery with minimal business impact.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across commercial and operations teams to develop and drive application optimization strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership in the adoption and implementation of standard operating procedures.
  • Proactively manage applications and assess emerging trends to ensure the evolution of the system roadmap.
  • Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring effective SLA/performance measurement and management.
  • Monitor daily progress of Oracle Opera-related projects and provide timely, detailed updates to key stakeholders.
  • Organize reports, invoices, contracts, and other financial/budgetary documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in application development, deployment, and management, with at least [2] years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
  • Solid grasp of IT governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset, with the ability to envision long-term objectives and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or Agile ScrumMaster are a plus.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written. Any additional language is a plus.
  • Hospitality industry experience or comparable work experience in the same or similar role is required.
  • UK or Swiss/EU nationality or existing working permit in Switzerland is required.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, providing service to internal stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet project, task, and/or assignment deadlines.
  • Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency of work.
  • Positive, engaging, and energetic personality.
  • Able to be organized, manage time wisely, and work with little to no direct supervision.
  • Sensitive to cultural nuances.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast-paced environment.
