POSITION OVERVIEW

Aman is in search of an innovative and strategic Vice President of Information Technology (VPIT) to spearhead the development, execution, and oversight of the comprehensive technology framework for the organization, with a keen focus on global growth and expansion. This role is responsible for managing Aman's IT and computer systems, which includes evaluating existing processes, suggesting software enhancements, and guiding the executive team on optimal practices. This senior leadership position requires a forward-thinking leader with an extensive grasp of advanced technological solutions. The VPIT will ensure that technology not only elevates the guest experience but also enhances operational efficiency and propels business growth across the entire organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Strategy & Planning

Formulating and implementing a cohesive technology strategy that aligns with business objectives. Discovering and integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance guest services, optimize operations, and boost revenue. Developing and sustaining an IT roadmap that guarantees scalability and adaptability. Leveraging technology as a means to drive revenue and efficiency, with a focus on usability and dependability.

Leadership and Team Development

Guiding and motivating a geographically diverse IT team, nurturing a culture of innovation and excellence. Crafting and executing strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and professional growth. Conducting regular performance assessments and mentoring to elevate team skills and performance. Inspiring both direct reports and fostering a culture of enthusiasm for the digital and technological journey ahead.

System and Infrastructure Management

Supervising the management and upkeep of IT infrastructure across corporate offices and resorts, ensuring reliability, security, and peak performance. Standardizing IT policies and procedures across the organization for uniformity and compliance. Managing partnerships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure top-notch service and support. Taking a data-driven approach to assess the current and future state of infrastructure.

Project Management and Implementation

Leading and managing significant technology initiatives, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within scope, and on budget. Collaborating with hotel management teams to pinpoint technology needs and opportunities for operational enhancements. Guaranteeing the successful implementation and adoption of new technologies across all properties.

Budget and Financial Management

Formulating and overseeing the IT budget for the organization, ensuring optimal resource utilization. Performing cost-benefit analyses for technology investments and offering strategic recommendations to senior management. Monitoring and managing IT expenditures to uncover opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality.

Enhancing Guest Experience

Elevating the guest experience through technology. Utilizing technology to create seamless and improved guest experiences across all properties, from booking to check-out. Implementing and maintaining guest-facing technologies such as mobile applications, digital check-in/check-out systems, and in-room entertainment options. Applying data analytics to comprehend guest behavior and preferences, driving continuous enhancements in service delivery. Demonstrating a passionate commitment to the customer experience and utilizing technology to enhance it. Focusing on the employee experience as a customer of the enterprise.

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensuring adherence to industry regulations, data protection laws, and internal policies across all corporate offices and resorts. Developing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures to safeguard data and systems. Identifying and mitigating technology-related risks to ensure robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans are established. QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred. Expertise in digital platforms, services, and products, encompassing all internal and externally focused digital aspects of the organization. Proficiency in enterprise IT, with experience in managing internally focused hardware and software designed to meet the demands of daily operations, including infrastructure and cybersecurity. Advanced skills in data and analytics, including applications of enterprise data, data mining, artificial intelligence, and predictive modeling to enhance insights. Experience managing technology across multiple locations, ideally on a global scale and/or within the hospitality sector, is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Experience with property management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and other hospitality technologies is essential. Proven leadership skills, with the ability to lead and develop a large, geographically dispersed IT team, are essential. Demonstrated success in managing large-scale and complex technology projects. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills, are necessary to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A well-rounded IT leader with experience and passion across all areas of technology. The ability to scale an organization quickly, creating alignment with a diverse stakeholder group.
