**What it's about**

The Global Sustainability Office Chair will be responsible for the design and implementation of Partners Group’s sustainability strategy. The Global Sustainability Office Chair will work closely with the Partners Group Executive Team and departments delivering corporate, product, client and asset commitments. The primary global responsibilities include:

- Support the Board of Directors in clearly articulating the ambitions
- Define, implement and continuously drive a sustainability strategy that meets both regulatory commitments and supports Partners Group’s ambitions, both near and long term
- Lead the Sustainability team, driving quality and employee engagement
- Enhance and further develop the required policies and define/implement controls to meet regulatory commitments
- Monitor both Partners Group corporate commitments as well as those of our investments against regulation, fund and client commitments
- Establish oversight and governance routines including goals, KPIs, and end to end reviews with all stakeholders
- Create data governance routines by defining required data elements, monitoring progress against commitments, and providing insights to inform strategic decisions
- Implement timely and efficient reporting that informs Partners Group’s Sustainability Report, corporate reporting, fund reporting and client needs
- Support the client solutions (CSOL) team to serve current and prospective clients’ ESG-related requests and reporting
- Collaborate with Investment teams and Portfolio Companies to educate and drive actions to meet sustainability commitments
- Bring together key stakeholders across Partners Groups to drive decisions and actions needed to meet Partners Group’s sustainability strategy and mitigate risk
- Drive colleague education to deliver advocacy and engagement of ESG in a way that it becomes integrated within the culture and operations of Partners Group
- Stay up to date with developments in environmental regulations, certifications, and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant and competitive in the market

**What we expect**
- 10+ years of experience in a mix of financial markets and experience developing and leading ESG in a complex organization
- Solid knowledge of ESG, including regulatory and industry initiatives and understanding of the rapidly evolving regulatory environment and client demands
- Experience building, leading and engaging teams across multiple locations
- Experience in creating and maintaining robust governance, reporting mechanism and internal controls that build a culture of accountability, collaboration and teamwork
- Significant client facing experience
- An entrepreneurial and self-directed person, able to manage effectively and complete tasks in demanding timelines and with competing priorities
- Excellent analytical skills e.g., in integrating ESG factors into investment and business analysis and decisions
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability and experience interacting with global C-suite level executives. Ability to drive consensus through collaboration and influence
- Flexibility to travel for work with portfolio companies & assets
- International background, e.g., experience working in international and professional environment
- Top academic credentials (Master/MBA preferred)
