Global Circularity Manager

**Job Overview**
As we embark on a path of significant expansion, SHL Medical has just launched a Sustainability Strategy 2030 including ambitious goals and defined a clear path on climate action and circularity. SHL Medical is in search a qualified and experienced professional to lead the circularity efforts. Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, this highly skilled, innovative and trusted professional will be crucial in developing and implementing strategies, and programs that promote circularity across the organization.
As Global Circularity Manager, you will lead SHL Medical circular economy initiatives by staying informed about emerging trends and relevant regulations. You will be developing comprehensive strategies, and fostering strong relationships with industry experts and stakeholders. As such, you will seek to optimize the supply chain to minimize waste, enhance resource efficiency, and oversee waste management, striving for zero-waste goals. You will seek to reduce product carbon footprint by establishing core capabilities across the organizations (LCA, sustainability and eco-design principles, etc.). Collaborating closely with Innovation, Development and Operations teams, you will identify innovative circular economy opportunities and technologies. To promote a circularity mindset throughout the entire organization, you’ll be in charge to develop training programs and workshops. Likewise, you will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and will report circular economy performance to senior management and stakeholders.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Support coordination of the business strategy on circularity in collaboration with relevant departments and external stakeholders.
- Identify further circular economy opportunities and prioritize initiatives in line with existing strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate circular economy into our business operations and product offerings.
- Establish partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers to drive circular economy initiatives (e.g. take-back).
- Develop and implement organizational policies and guidelines to ensure compliance and best practices in circularity.
- Oversee the PCF and LCA activities across the organization and develop tools and trainings.
- Design and deliver training and organize workshops on circularity related topics.
- Develop and manage committees and network of circular economy focal points to support the company’s sustainability goals.
- Monitor, measure, and report on progress made in circularity initiatives.
**Skills and Qualification**
- MSc in the field(s) of Engineering, Sustainability, and Environmental Sciences or related experience.
- At least 7 years of relevant working experience (operations and circular economy).
- Demonstrated experience and success in leading circularity efforts in a global corporate environment.
- Experience with stewardship schemes, extended producer responsibility and end-of-life material circularity principles and environmental impact reduction.
- Solid knowledge on PCF, LCA and related software.
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive innovative and eco-friendly solutions.
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills with a strong commitment to SHL Medical mission, values, and service.
- Fluency in English.
