Geneve, Schweiz United Nations Vollzeit

The internship is located in the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism (CLM), Human Resources Management Service, United Nations Office at Geneva. This internship is for a period of three months, from 18 September to 8 December.

The internship is UNPAID and full-time.

The intern will work five (5) days per week (40 hours) under the overall supervision of the head of the Language Training Programme and under the direct supervision of the training assistant and the teachers responsible for the Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian or Spanish Programme at the Centre for Learning and Multilingualism (CLM). The time percentage of your work for different language teams will be decided at the beginning of the internship and might change during the internship.

**Responsibilities**:
The incumbent will:

- Design and develop multimedia content, such as video, audio, graphics, images, etc.;
- Develop and update learning materials, resources and online activities using the elearning platform Moodle;
- Assist in the running of webinars for those doing online courses;
- Work on other ongoing projects.

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations, applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
(a) be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
(b) be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter; and,
- Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which includes willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.

Work Experience

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship, fluency in one of the working languages is essential. Mastery of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) is desirable.
