**Business Line Analytical Strategy, BD and Sustainability Manager**:**

**This position reports to**:
Global Product Group Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop and evolve the Business Line’s strategy, identify and prioritize strategic areas for organic and inorganic growth
- Define M&A search fields and develop the M&A pipeline and build relationships with potential targets and partners
- Project-manage active M&A projects across entire acquisition process (assessment, DD, negotiation, integration) and drive value creation opportunity assessment
- Personally lead critical workstreams in M&A processes, esp. commercial DD; coordinate work of workstreams staffed by other ABB functions (e.g. financial DD, legal, etc.)
- Ensure implementation planning and follow-up to the defined strategic initiatives defined, mobilizing the management team and escalating issues where needed
- Drive the Business Line’s sustainability agenda, in line with but also beyond the broader ABB and Process Automation sustainability program
- Lead the preparation of high-impact documents enabling discussion and decision making in executive management meetings
- Act as eye-level discussion partner and thought leader in close interaction with senior executives and external companies

**Your background**:

- Minimum of 8 -12+ years of relevant work experience within strategy and M&A
- Manager-/principal-level individuals from a top-tier consultancy, ideally with some industry experience
- Excellent problem-solving, project-management and interpersonal skills
- Must have led major strategy projects in the past with demonstrated excellent results
- Ability to challenge classical acquisition landscapes and open new business directions
- Passion for and understanding of industrial space; direct experience in the markets served is a plus
- Ability to effectively guide and leverage project teams across levels, functions, and regions, without formal reporting relationships
- Ability to influence key decisions and align stakeholders to get proper buy-in
