**This position reports to**:
Project Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Risk and Internal Control: Own the global control processes for Master Data Governance, ensuring an effective and efficient internal control environment is maintained in order to mitigate financial reporting risks
- Design, review & approve the Internal Controls Framework (ICOFR) documentation and support the implementation of new guidelines from ABB's ARIC (Assurance, Risk and Internal Controls) team
- Support the control owners through annual process and control design (review and implementation of changes), process walkthroughs - considering design effectiveness, identifying, and resolving design deficiencies, management testing and year-end assessment of design effectiveness
- Quarterly review of open remediation's, assessment of impact and development of key learnings within ABB entities, as well as monitor and support resolution of deficiencies, ensuring effective, sustainable remediation is implemented
- Responsible for ITGC framework. Ensure an effective User Control environment (i.e. Segregation of Duties, Table of Authorities, User Access Management) and change management process is implemented
- Main speaking partner for internal and external audit for internal control guidance and implementation matters
- Actively participate in IS/IT projects, including assessment, selection and implementation of risk and internal controls solutions
- Global Function Tasks: Fulfil requirements to maintain effective controls across the global data workstream. Responsible for establishing and maintaining an adequate internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting
- Mitigate the financial reporting risks by maintaining an effective and efficient internal control environment across the global data workstream
- Quarterly review of open remediation's and assessment of impact across the global data workstream
- Develop key learnings from deficiencies identified within the global data workstream and roll out the learnings to the global workstream for action
- Other: Support Head of Finance Master Data with the internal control aspects of significant ad hoc activities/projects arising from ABB's M&A activities, implementation of ABB Group's policies, ERP Transformation projects (CFIN, ERP Roadmaps), implementation of Target Operating Model

**Your background**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or finance
- 8-10 years experience in internal controls and/or master data, where 5+ years are from a similar position in a multinational group or delivering similar advisory services via "Big 4" audit firm
- Strong experience and interest for how technology and systems can support internal control effectiveness and efficiency
- Solid understanding and experience with internal control frameworks
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to identify, assess and address risk, materiality and interdependencies and translate these into an impact analysis on financial reporting and make recommendations for improvements
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) to present internal control and risk matters in an easily understandable way across various forums and levels of the organization with the right level of detail
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a multi-geographic team
- Adaptable to working in a fast-paced, ever-changing internal control environment
- Experience in delivering internal controls training to Process and Control Owners
- Strong team player with collaborative approach
- MBA or Executive MBA degree is a plus
- Ability to effectively meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
- Sense for practical solutions in balancing regulatory requirements with business practicability and risk taking
