**HSE Audit & Assurance Manager**:

The Process Automation (PA) Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Audit & Assurance Manager is responsible for the effective management of the PA HSE Audit Program. The main objectives of the program are: (1) to provide support to the audited businesses by identifying their strengths, weaknesses and priorities for improvement, providing expertise, advice, sharing good practice and generally supporting their improvement activities during the audit process and, as appropriate, afterwards and (2) to identify the level of compliance of the audited businesses with the ABB Way for Health, Safety, Environment & Security management system and thereby inform and provide independent assurance to management via a robust strategic analysis of the outputs from the program. The Audit Manager ensures that the audit program is seen by the audited businesses as a truly value-adding activity for them. In this role you will be reporting to the IA HSE Program Manager.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Planning the annual PA HSE audit program, in collaboration with Division HSE Managers, in accordance with the relevant ABB standards.
- Personally planning and conducting audits of PA businesses annually, working with audited businesses to agree their actions to close out non-conformities.
- Managing other Lead Auditors & Auditors who are based within Divisions to execute the audit program across geographical areas.
- Ensuring that their audits are planned and conducted to the highest professional standards with appropriate, clear and precise findings and providing strong support to the audited businesses.
- Identifying, training, coaching and appointing colleagues from PA businesses who will support the team as occasional auditors.
- Regular reporting on the progress of the annual program, to the Business Area and Divisions, providing a breakdown of key indicators to support continual improvement.
- Conduct periodical trending and root cause analysis studies on audit and self-assessments, with the desire to influence the development of key risk management programs and initiatives to be included in the following years HSE Performance Plan
- Oversight of all internal self-assessments to ensure minimum standards are met and continuous improvement mindset is in place.
- Continually seeking ways to improve the audit process, maintain strong working relationships with counterparts in the other Business Areas to ensure collaboration and alignment on issues of common interest.
- Representing PA on ABB’s Risk and Assurance Steering Committee. Providing feedback to the Committee on opportunities to improve the ABB Way for HSE&S management system.

**Your background**:

- 10 years of experience as an HSE professional, with strong experience of auditing in an industrial environment
- ISO 45001 / 14001 Lead Auditor
- Demonstrated competencies as defined in ISO 19011
- Experience of managing an audit program is an advantage
- The ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Degree or equivalent in a Safety related qualification
- Able to influence a team in a high demanding and dynamic global environment.
- Membership of Safety professional body is an advantage
- Fluent English is required; other languages are an advantage
