**Corporate Strategy Director**

**What this position is about - Purpose**:
The purpose of the Corporate Strategy Director role is to support the definition, review, evaluation and communication of JTI's strategic direction. The role is expected to identify trends in the business environment, conduct long term forecasting and develop future scenarios. The incumbent will own and revise company vision and long term objectives and develop companywide corporate level strategies to reach strategic objectives. The role, working closely with Senior Management, will support various processes and undertake special projects as required.

**What will you do - Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate future business trends. Take a holistic business perspective in evaluating trends that could impact the future of JTI across all dimensions (marketing, finance, regulatory, P&C etc). Systematically undertake horizon scanning activities in conjunction with other functions, and consolidate learnings at corporate level
- Long term forecasting and development of future scenarios. Owner of the Corporate Strategy Global Forecasting Model, with responsibility for modifying, updating and promoting it and continue building forecasting capabilities in the team. The incumbent should also promote and develop the use of Scenario planning methodologies in collaboration with JT
- Identify and define the specific strategic issues and opportunities and translate them into clear implementation objectives in order to drive the Company’s strategy development and annual review of the strategy
- Own and maintain the overall strategic aspirations for JTI, including company mission and vision. Develop JTI's set of corporate level strategies to achieve objectives. Support the ongoing development of a coherent set of functional strategies, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives
- Support the overall communication of JTI strategic priorities across the company, ensuring all internal stakeholders priorities and the execution of them are aligned with company level objectives. Effectively communicate business plans through planning process documents for Senior Management
- The role will work closely with JTI’s Senior Management on key strategic review committee workstreams as well as BCCP (Business Continuity & Crisis Preparedness) and Geopolitical and economic scenario planning and risk management. The role will also undertake other special project work as and when required such as reviewing investment opportunities as well as cost optimization initiatives
- Offer support to markets or functions through expert knowledge in solving multiple or complex business issues or in reaching the best strategic recommendation

**Who are we looking for - Requirements**:

- Masters level degree in business, economics or engineering. MBA degree from a top school and certification in project management considered as pluses
- A team player with solid experience leading teams, and with strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish statue and credibility at the highest levels of the JT/JTI group
- High level of English proficiency a must
- General experience using MS Office. Strong skills in excel modeling and development of Power point presentations required
