Internal Control Manager

50% Homeoffice possible

In this role, you will provide professional support to the top management to ensure risk management and internal control compliance with external laws and regulations as well as internal company policies and requirements. You understand how to communicate at top executive level and have solid financial and IT skills. With your consulting background and your excellent communication style, you fit perfectly into our international and diverse team.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Design the internal controls testing procedures to validate the control design and its operational effectiveness in line with the control assertions and the related process risk assessment
- Manage and execute the internal controls audit for all dsm-firmenich units, including finance controls, general computer controls, automated controls, and system key reports
- Perform root cause analysis for control failures and design efficient and effective remediation plans
- Monitor and advice process owners on action plans for remediation of control deficiencies
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and continuously improve on the existing internal controls framework
- Measure the severity of the internal control deficiency and evaluate the impact on dsm-firmenich consolidated financials
- Work closely with different level of dsm-firmenich management and business process owners to ensure that the internal controls are timely identified and embedded as part of the business process and are tested for operational effectiveness
- Support the internal control awareness through training and coaching

**You bring**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in auditing and financial control
- Audit experience with one or more of the big 4 firms or internal control experience in an international environment is mandatory
- Experience in implementing COSO framework
- Certification in Internal Audit/CIA and/or Fraud Investigation is preferred
- Chartered Accountant or CMA are preferred
