**What you’ll do**

You will manage a team and provide expertise in leading all aspects of project control management for (large) capital investment projects within the engineering departement, ensuring the highest standards on cost estimate, cost management, scheduling and progress tracking, risk management and document management

**Your key responsibilities**
- Responsible for all aspects within project control management. This includes cost estimate, cost management, schedule and progress tracking, risk management, document management. Responsible to develop, execute and implement projects to achieve KPIs on cost and schedule.
- Support the definition, implementation and managing of plans and strategies to further develop the global project execution in accordance with Large Capital Projects (LCP) and business needs.
- Establish and maintain links with external institutes like IPA, AACE, DACE etc. Be aware of trends on markets which will impact cost and schedule. Ensure DSM policies & guidelines (which are supporting the DSM Values and requirements) are followed and ensure compliance with local legislation across multiple teams.
- Ensure that DSM’s quality requirements, procedures and work processes are followed during execution.
- Ensure project risks are identified and mitigated incl. regular review.
- Maintain established project control management work process, meanwhile identify improvement opportunities on all aspects of Project Control Management and support optimizing execution performance.
- Maintain global project control management networks, to ensure continuous improvements by sharing best practices.
- Support and maintain a system to further develop project control management competence.
- On the department level, support managing the annual LCP department budgets globally, including prefunding and charge out to customers.
- On the project level, ensure efficient budgeting and cost management during project execution.
- Ensure that LCP Project Control Managers comply with DSM Values, “People, Planet, Profit”, P&O policies, minimum requirements and guidelines. Support right resource allocation, succession planning, the competences/skills, and adequate training levels.
- Provide leadership, direction, guidance and coaching supporting personal and professional development.
- Ensure efficient co-operation and alignment between relevant disciplines such as business controlling, site controller, Finance and Accounting, procurement etc.

**You bring**
- MSc in project management, engineering, business management or Bachelor degree on above mentioned area with multiple years working experiences at fields of project control management.
- Project Control Management experience in the execution of capital projects on a global context (min 10 years).
- Well-developed social, leadership and communication skills plus ability to operate effectively in a multicultural and complex international environment.
- Acting as people manager by leading a multicultural team.
- Holding professional certificates, for example but not limited to PMP, CCP, CCT, would be desired.
- Knowledge of food processing, life science, chemistry would be an added value. International assignment /experience of working in different cultures would have added value.
- Production and/or commissioning experience would be an asset.
- Multiple languages speaker would also be a plus.
