We are very happy to publish this unique position. This leadership role represents a unique opportunity for a senior leader who enjoys managing technological as well as commercial aspects and who has strong strategic and structuring skills, without shying away from more hands-on tasks. The role manages 3 direct reports and 20 to 25 employees and is to be based at our Offices in Olten or Lausanne, Switzerland.

**Tasks**:

- Develop Alpiq’s Swiss portfolio of energy assets, solutions, and products, covering selected renewable energy technologies, hydrogen, and other flexible technologies, as well as customer solutions for the energy transition,
- Manage and enrich the range of origination products and services that Alpiq is offering to its customers, develop commercial activities in Switzerland across Alpiq client segments,
- Develop Alpiq commercial network in Switzerland and ensure proper key account management and,
- Develop the business unit organization in line with the company strategy, ensure proper knowledge management and leadership development, employee diversity and inclusion, and succession planning,
- Manage and streamline Alpiq’s current business portfolio of renewable energy sources, in particular its alpine PV portfolio, of green hydrogen production and logistics, and in the future of other technologies that will add flexibility and resilience to the energy system,
- Steer and develop Alpiq’s asset and business project portfolio, ensure collaboration across the relevant value chains within Alpiq and with the support functions,
- Ensure safe operations and overall adherence to safety standards (people, IT, OT), compliance and regulatory requirements,
- Organize Alpiq’s stakeholder management for the relevant activities. Represent Alpiq and its interests within the Swiss and European appropriate associations and industry organizations,
- Manage Alpiq’s participations in legal entities, represent Alpiq in subsidiaries’ Board of Directors and oversee the subsidiaries’ operations, organisation and projects.

**Profile**:

- Main education in a commercial/economic field at university level, with generic technical knowledge (or conversely technical education with strong commercial knowledge),
- Business management skills e.g. executive MBA, knowledge of M&A processes, business plans, financing and structuring activities,
- Proven leadership skills in organizational and people development and in managing organizations over several hierarchy levels,
- Knowledge in Structuring Origination products and commercial offers,
- Understanding of power commercialization schemes and common commercialization avenues, PPA, trading, etc.
- Deep understanding of Swiss power industry, regulation and legal frameworks and in energy technologies,
- Stakeholder management and experience,
- Advanced negotiation skills and experience,
- French as first language, German as strong second language, or inversely,
- Proficient English, ability to talk without notes, write documents and contracts,
- Understanding of Swiss Law and best practices related to companies’ governance, BoD roles and responsibilities,
- Established Network in Switzerland.
