If so, we are looking for a strategist to join our Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) Industry Advisor team. This role requires executive presence with a thoughtful point of view about the industry globally, and an understanding of business models, product development, and commercial operations. Requires experience with organizational change and a talent for messaging and communications, and supporting sales by building links and engaging with customers.
This role will report to the EMEA Head of Life Sciences Industry, supporting the global strategy for Pharma Industry Advisory. The role requires a strong understanding of industry trends, partnering with the field leadership teams on strategic customer engagements, as well as being an advisor to the C-level executives at brands pre, during and post sales cycles to ensure we hear the voice of the customer and build long term relationships.
This individual will work in the EMEA market and also coordinate with global teams around industry expertise, account planning and partner engagement. The role is a mix of deep pharma knowledge, ability to influence, strategy, account planning partnership and direct account engagement.
We are looking for a consistent record in the following three key attributes:
1. **Industry Experience**:
We are seeking an industry professional with 15+ years of working in pharma organizations with operational and business strategy experience, working closely with C-level executives and an ability to quickly establish credibility with senior leadership
2. **Industry Leadership**:
This individual needs to be proficient in industry solution market planning and positioning. You need to be a hands-on leader, giving to the vision for Salesforce within customers, and defining the market and go-to-market plan for Pharma organisations, being able to optimally facilitate ground-breaking initiatives.
3. **Solution Ambassador**:
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Develop the Pharma business plan including target accounts, marketing strategy, and programs to achieve target revenue growth
- Support the development of messaging and positioning for Pharma customers including industry positioning and Salesforce solutions
- Build a compelling vision for how Salesforce can transform Pharma business segments, including commonalities across the broader healthcare ecosystem including providers, payers, and MedTech
- Work collaboratively with virtual, cross-functional teams including Industry Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, Product, Field Marketing, Cloud Marketing, Alliances and ISV teams to develop and implement the strategic go to market plan.
- Partner with enterprise and commercial Sales leadership to establish executive customer relationships, support strategic sales efforts to achieve ACV targets.
- Present alongside Salesforce customers at strategic marketing events including Dreamforce and select third party events and webinars
- Be an encouraging leader and evangelize the value of Salesforce for Pharma.
**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS DESIRED**:
- Industry expertise, being responsible for a P&L or consulting and implementing technology for the pharma industry.
- Understand challenges and opportunities across different areas within Pharma organizations and how digital transformation can improve business results.
- Stellar public speaking skills in both small and large-scale settings, track record as a public speaker at large-scale industry events or executive meetings. Ideally member of existing Pharma roundtables
- Experience in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content
- Held an active role with significant responsibility in organisations’ digital transformation, through the use of technology and business process improvements, and familiar with Salesforce solutions and products.
- Ability to travel 65% of the time
