Lean Resident Manager

Gate Gourmet, a global leader in Airline & Train Catering and Logistics Solutions, is seeking a dedicated Lean Resident Manager for our Zurich location. You will be responsible for driving Continuous Improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. Approximately 50% of the role involves supporting, advising, and training European Gate Gourmet units and the development and testing of new global standards while the remaining 50% focuses on developing and testing CI processes and initiatives at the Zurich site.
**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement Continuous Improvement strategies in close collaboration with local and global CI and Operational Excellence communities. Identify improvement opportunities in operational workflows and processes, and develop corresponding standards to enhance efficiency and quality locally and in the global operation network.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and achieve cost savings.
- Support the development of automatization and technology/systems solutions.
- Develop training programs and conduct trainings to educate executives, regional department heads, operarational and local gateOPEX experts on continuous improvement methodologies and techniques.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret relevant data to identify trends, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities. Prepare informative reports and presentations to communicate the results and progress of the Continuous Improvement program.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Lean 6 Sigma Black Belt certification is a must.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong aptitude for teaching and training.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and integrate teams, demonstrating a hands-on mentality.
- Willingness to travel internationally (20-30%).
- Fluency in German and English, additional languages are advantageous.
