**_ ROLE OBJECTIVE_**

Takeda is an R&D driven biopharmaceutical company with a focus on GI, Oncology, Rare Disease and Neuroscience. Our portfolio also comprises Vaccines research and manufacturing as well as Plasma Derived Therapies. We are about 50,000 people in 80+ countries. DE&I is a global priority for Takeda - It’s fundamental to our purpose: Better health for people, brighter future for the world.

Achieving that purpose requires innovation, collaboration, a deep understanding of people who suffer from life altering diseases and how their gender, ethnicity, culture, sexual orientation, life-style, socioeconomic factors impact the manifestation of these diseases. It is critical that we have people who understand these lived experiences.

Takeda is seeking a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Coach to support its newly created Global Portfolio division (GPD). GPD is composed of 4 Business Units - Europe and Canada (EUCAN), Growth and Emerging markets (GEM), Vaccines and China as well as 2 strategic global functions - Global Product Launch and strategy (GPLS) as well as Global Medical (GM). GPD is spread across 77 countries contributing to 30% of the organizational revenue and ~25% of the organizational workforce.

**_ Key_** **_accountabilities_**
- ** Coach leaders and leadership teams** in achieving their DE&I goals aligned to Takeda’s Global DE&I ambition, providing encouragement, challenge, insights and thought leadership
- Enable the Executive leadership team (GPET) to **uncover their DE&I signature**:

- ** Diagnose intact team and / or leaders**, meeting them where they are on their journey to unlock their potential and achieve their DE&I goals
- ** Curate and amplify success stories and progress** being made across the organization in order to enhance our Employer Value Proposition, employee engagement and retention
- Create an environment where employees can thrive, have their voices heard, and live up to their potential by **infusing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion into all aspects of BU/BFs**:

- ** Partner with our internal communications, external communications** and media teams to ensure DE&I is threaded throughout in our company voice.
- Enable GPD to **move beyond DE&I compliance and awareness to full talent integration, embedding within our go to market strategies and the way we work** with patient organizations, customer, and stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with global/regional/local D&I partners, HR Leaders, Talent Acquisition, People Insights & Analytics, Total Rewards, Legal and Compliance, and Takeda Resource Groups.
- Ensure DE&I language is **embedded in employee experience** initiatives across GPD
- Collaborate with CMO / Health equity and patient access to **drive inclusivity in clinical trial** access & enrollment to **influence more equitable health outcomes** across our various markets
- Collaborate with GPLS & Commercial to create launches / marketing / branding that represent the **diverse Takeda patient population** while **accelerating access and equity** to reach more patients **impacted by climate change**

A critical success factor in this role would be to collaborate closely with the **global DE&I Head and the team** to ensure relevant global programs are shared across GPD

- Comprehensive experience and knowledge of **DE&I KPI measurements**:

- Demonstrates high proficiency in our **Takeda Leadership Behaviors **and is a role model for** inclusive behaviors**

**Experience and Education**
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience required, preferred Master’s degree
- Strong track record of driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives
- Coaching certification is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint
- Project management experience with a demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Must be legally authorized to work in the applicable country
