comprise ~100 leading global companies representing diverse regions and industries. They are selected for their alignment with the Forum’s mission, provide essential support and are the driving force behind the Forum’s activities and the work of its communities.
At the centre of the Forum's knowledge generation activities, Strategic Partners benefit from and contribute to the global knowledge base through working closely with the Forum to set the intellectual agenda of Forum meetings, driving the insight agenda of its publications and steering the impact of its initiatives. They make a tangible impact on global issues and society by contributing to better policy-making, informing business decisions, sharing best practices and engaging stakeholders beyond commercial objectives.
We are currently seeking a Community Lead who will be responsible for formulating and executing engagement strategies for Strategic Partner (SP) companies in the Media, Entertainment and Information (MEI), Information, communication and Technology (ICT) and Profession Services (PS) Industries, facilitating relationships with chairs, CEOs, senior executives and other key stakeholders.
Industry focus: Media, Entertainment and Information, Information, Communication and Technology and Professional Services (MEI, ICT&PS)
Reporting Lines and Interactions:
The Community Lead will report to Antoine Hirschy, Head of Cluster, Strategic Partnership and Head of Professional Services Industry
Internally, this person will work with other colleagues in the Strategic Partnership and Business Engagement teams as well as with Industry Leads covering MEI and ICT industries; and externally with a broad range of stakeholders in the strategic partner companies.
Breakdown of main responsibilities:
- 40% on partner engagement: prepare and maintain company engagement plans, as well as initiate, maintain and expand relationships with globally recognized multinational SP companies- 20% on research: keep abreast of relevant Forum initiatives that match SP business priorities and ensure coordinated and consistent interfaces between relevant Forum colleagues and the SP company- 20% on analysis: Regularly conduct analysis of the quality and success of engagement, and level of SP company satisfaction; monitor SP company performance, organizational change, reports and related media, on a continual basis- 20% on operational tasks: Ensure SP companies are fully aware of details, processes and procedures related to their engagement, including meeting attendance criteria, branding and acknowledgements guidelines; act as principal liaison between the SP team and the regional teams for at least one regional meeting or an Annual Meeting- Ability to ensure mutually agreed SP company needs and expectations are met; and engagement plans are executed accordingly- Positive feedback from SP companies after meetings, including quality of logístical arrangements and timely troubleshooting- Constructive input provided for the strategic development of the team, and the Lead role within it, with the objective of increasing the quality and productivity of the function- Successfully mentoring and coaching the Community Specialists who support the portfolio
Preferred Requirements and Experience:
- Broad intellectual background with a Master’s degree or equivalent from a globally renowned institution- A minimum of 8 years’ professional work experience in relevant Industries and expertise in Account Management, Market Research, or Consulting- Prior experience in a client-facing role requiring strong relationship management skills- Excellent communication skills and command of English; fluency in another language is a plus- Mastery of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with Salesforce a plus- Motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment- Able to respond appropriately to high-level demands under pressure
