- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Business Development Manager located in Flex Hagglingen.
- An industry leader with a strong track record of exceptional performance is looking to fill a key position, Business Development Manager, to support our ambitious growth goals.
- Located in Flex Switzerland (Hagglingen), reporting to VP of Precision Plastics, this role supports existing customers while focusing intently on new opportunities which benefit from the extraordinary capabilities of the team.
- What a typical day looks like:
- Develop new strategic alliances with key customers within allocated territories in Europe.
- Analyze and understand customers’ business strategy, future product plans and expansion activities and align Flex resources where mutually beneficial.
- Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of market and technology needs, while initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration together with Marketing and other departments.
- Work closely with the Business Development Team and the Finance Department to control budgets within the department.
- Assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex’s complex solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services support and reverse logistics.
- Support senior management with regard to managing and evaluating key personnel and in terms of talent acquisition to provide further potential to business resources.
- Work with legal to execute appropriate and negotiate complex design and supply agreement.
- Provide business and overall relationship management support to existing design and commercial programs.
- Having the lead in negotiation of new development and commercial supply agreements and support specific sites on business/commercial issues.
- The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or business.
- Solid experience of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience.
- Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit.
- Influencing capabilities of senior level management, executives and key clients.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Profound experience with high-volume plastic medical devices and or pharma and or diagnostic would be nice;
- Proven ability to identify and clarify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Experienced in Tooling/Plastic injection/Injection machines.
- Proficient German and English skills, French, Italian skills are nice to have.
- Strong customer focus and result-orientation.
- Ability to appropriately evaluate and structure value creating deals for the business.
- Ability to create a strong network.
- Ability to find new customers / opportunities.
- Door-to-door salesman mentality.
- Ability to bring opportunities over the finish line would be great.
- Persuasive communication skills; ability to listen and communicate effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong internal relationships.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- This position requires international travel throughout Europe which may be up to 25%. We expect you to be an excellent and fluent communicator in English. Every other European language is a benefit.
