**Key Account Manager (M/F/d) Microbiology for Pharma Industry DACH**
**Location**:field-based position within the assigned territory (travel 50%+)

**Division Specific Information**
You will contribute to enabling our customers to make the world a safer place through the Microbiology Division portfolio. You will build and maintain customer relations with strategic accounts that typically involve multi-site national; responsible to identify, developing and closing new sales opportunities. Achieve revenue targets by growing revenue spend per account. Conducts regular business reviews with customers to ensure expectations are being achieved and continuous opportunity development. Partner with Account Managers on the Pharma/Biotech team on account strategy.

The Key Account Manager (M/F/d) Microbiology for Pharma Industry DACH is part of the commercial sales organisation supporting the Microbiology Division - Pharma Sales portfolio which provides Pharma/Biotech customers with testing solutions across workflows. This position will establish relationships with key Pharma/ Biotech customers and channel partners. Your will report to the Senior European Manager Pharma.

**A day in the Life**:

- Maintain and develop strategic relationships and improve corporate relationships with national accounts to advance Microbiology Division access and opportunities.
- Business Development of new customers or support the channel to promote and sell Microbiology Division products to the targeted prospects.
- Align specific proposals and offerings to company objectives by working with Leadership, Marketing, and local Channel Account Managers (Wholesale).
- Drive growth through coordinating resources and providing comprehensive solutions.
- Conduct regular business reviews and business updates to key partners.
- Development of opportunities to meet revenue commitments.
- Develop short, medium
- and long-term strategies improving the opportunities and growing the sales pipeline.
- Introduce Microbiology Division product to clients and increase understanding of Microbiology Division and Thermo Fisher Scientific value proposition.
- Commercial Process Management - lead contractual processes including Confidentiality agreements, Preferred provider / Master Services agreements/ pricing agreements, resolution of commercial issues/ negotiations.
- Continuous improvement - find opportunities for standardized work and improvement of quality and service with customer base.

**Keys to Success**:
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science and/or Business required

Experience
- Track proven success in sales (selling to Pharma customers desirable).
- Experience with leading sophisticated sales processes, incl. selling across multiple departments, levels and multiple partners.
- Proven track of record in collaboration with channel partners
- Understanding of workflow management to discover opportunities and meet customer needs
- Solution Selling, Millier Heiman Account planning (or comparable) training desirable

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills
- Analytical approach; strong forecasting and planning skills to achieve revenue goals
- Self-starter attitude with high energy level, willing to take initiative
- Effective negotiation skills
