**Your mission**
As the Analytics Manager you will be responsible to manage reporting requirements, provide reports and analysis, and reporting knowledge, to secure supply chain transparency and the usage of data to support business objectives and ensure continuous improvement of processes and solutions.
**Main responsibilities**
- Together with internal and external partners develop a modern Supply Chain Business Data Platform acquiring all data from the relevant source systems and enabling Reporting & Analytics including ‘ad hoc reporting’ and ‘self-service analytics’
- Ensure data sharing within and outside SMS Logistics
- Implement reports and dashboards agreed with stakeholders and coordinate the collaboration between business and IT, starting with outlining report requirements including data models, data gap analysis and IT resource planning
- Run analysis for the organization to make more informed decisions, in real time if beneficial
- Identify improvement opportunities by using data and take responsibility for getting decisions and implementation
- Support the organization so they can perform ad-hoc reporting and analytics by ensuring availability of tools, training and hands-on support.
- Stay up to date with best practices in the reporting & analytics area, including what to measure and which analytics and visualization tools to use
- Develop descriptive analytics of the current state, predictive analytics to describe the future or alternate states, and prescriptive analytics to optimize outcomes during the supply chain planning and execution
**Your profile**
A University degree in preferably in Business IT, data modelling or supply chain. You have at least 5 years’ experience and a good understanding of supply chain processes, best practice in supply chain dashboards and reports as well as visualization and analytic tools. In addition, basic IT infrastructure, understanding of business intelligence and data modelling is important.
You need to efficiently work with people in different locations and time zones, communicate with people on different levels and in different part of the organization as well as outside Sandvik. You will work close with both IT and other business functions working with visualization, reporting and analytics.
This role requires that you have a well-developed ability to independently plan and prioritize your work. English spoken and written skills as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. As this is a global position some experience working with people of different cultural backgrounds would be well regarded. If required, you can travel some days each month.
You are an energetic, self-starter not requiring significant supervision and committed to delivering results. Knowing when to escalate issues to management. You should be confident to ask questions and represent your area of responsibility to management. You should be interested in your long term capabilities to search out education will support your development.
