**Description**
General information: In this role you are responsible for identification, exploration and implementation of technology/product development and growth strategies within Business Unit Transformers Global ProductN Group (GPG) Distribution & Traction Transformers to enhance and secure Hitachi Energy's global position and profitability in the medium/long term. You are accountable for GPG's R&D roadmap definition & execution. Furthermore you foster innovation and develop and secure research and development (R&D) capabilities. Responsibilities: You ensure the alignment of strategies, processes and corresponding R&D plans and drive resolution of technology issues within the Business Unit Transformers You are responsible for creation and execution of Global Product Group R&D strategy in agreement with the Manager and portfolio strategy You create and plan on GPG technology road map and support development & definition of GPG's global technology platforms and competitiveness in close collaboration with GPG Engineering manager. Develop, secure and facilitate innovation process, and ensures key performance indicators (KPIs) are in place to be tracked You assure R&D projects are delivered on time and on budget and that actions and decisions taken are approved in accordance with prevailing policies and instructions You influence and facilitate cooperation around market standards and guidelines important to the Division You support and oversee transfer of technology and knowledge between the business and internal partners (Local and Global Business Units and laboratories) You represent the Technology function to customers and internal/external stakeholders You are responsible for R&D budget and targets, set in accordance with parameters decided by Product Group Manager and BU Technology Manager and insure consistent resources (budget & people) allocation in Technology Centers You guide, motivate and coach team and individuals, both direct and indirect Your background: Master's degree 10+ years of work experience in the relevant field (preferably in the energy industry or similar) Proven work experience as a leader Knowledge in product development Able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, and with all levels of the organization Strong command of English, including excellent writing and presentation skills
