**About** the role**:
The role reports to the Head of GMS Communications and works closely with key stakeholders of the Zurich Site and the Communications Lead Zurich Site.

This role ensures that the Zurich site is well positioned inside and outside of Takeda. It spans across internal and external communications, social media and employee engagement and external relations (canton, trade associations etc) activities, ensuring that all communications within and about the Zurich Site is managed effectively and efficiently.

Key stakeholders are associates from the 20+ functions and BUs located in Zurich, as well as the Zurich based TET members, the Zurich Site Committee, and the Swiss LOC.

**How you will contribute**:
Zurich Site communication and stakeholder management.
- Create strategy for the internal and external positioning of the Zurich site as one of Takeda´s global hub locations.
- Create overview and editorial calendar for speaking opportunities and external engagements, create process for approval of external engagement and associated material.
- Create and maintain relationships to key external stakeholders (canton Zurich, trade associations, trade and public press)
- Represent Zurich site in global projects (e.g., hybrid working) and position it as global hub location.
- Serve as key point of contact for Zurich Site communications related inquiries including governance of cross functional/ BU news flow and roll out of global corporate initiatives.
- Provide communications support to Site Leadership, e.g. creation of employee communications, support in content creation for external talking opportunities, liaison with media, and preparation of external interviews, etc.
- Oversee Zurich Site Town Halls
- Oversee site related offline and online channels.
- Lead initiatives to digitize processes, improve and/or optimize workflows.
- Represent Communications at Zurich Site Committee and at the Crisis Task Force as needed.

- Support on GMS activities as needed (e.g. crisis and issues management)
- Deputize Head of GMS Communications as needed.

**What you bring to Takeda**:
**Experience**
- 10-15 years’ experience in a communications role preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or broader healthcare sector
- Education: University degree in communications or similar
- Languages: Fluency in English (mandatory/native level capability) and preferably in German and French
- Good knowledge about production processes for online & offline communication channels
- Internal Communications / Change Management / Event Management experience
- Good network in Switzerland (authorities, trade associations, media)
- External affairs, media relations, social media, KPI tracking
- Agency and vendor management including budget management
- Experience working in a corporate environment and global matrix organization

- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional copy writing skills, incl. ability to draft communications messages.
- High proficiency as a multitasker and project/event manager
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking while managing tactics.
- Ability to navigate a change environment, and reprioritize as needed, maintaining an agile mindset.
- Cultural sensitivity/experience and adaptability working cross functionally in a multi-cultural environment.
- Creative and proactive thinker and solution-oriented mind-set
- Experience in using tools, e.g. SharePoint, Adobe design suite etc. and with different communications channels (e.g. video, digital, social media)
